Locals and visitors alike were very excited for this year’s Aruba Summer Music Festival (ASMF) and for good reason!
From June 29 to July 1 the 4th edition of the ASMF was held at Aruba’s festival hot spot, the Harbor Square Arena.
People from around the world (especially Latin America) came all the way to our One happy island with as primary goal: catching a glimpse of Ozuna, being serenaded by Eddy Herrera, or starting a fete with Kes the Band. Also performing: Nacho, Victor Manuelle, Fonseca, Felipe Pelaez and local favorites Buleria, NFuzion, D' Licious, Le Groove and Tsunami. Three absolutely unforgettable evenings.
Many visiting concert goers have expressed that going to a show in Aruba is a much nicer experience than it is back home. Not only is it a great excuse to go on a trip to paradise, but the concerts are also often an up-close and personal experience that you won’t get elsewhere!
Because Aruba (and our concert space) is relatively small, a limited amount of tickets can be sold (so secure yours ASAP). This means you will not have to wait very long to get in or to order food and drinks. It also means that you can get much closer to your favorite artists. Sure beats those shows where you need a magnifying glass to even see what’s going on. Concerts in Aruba are one of a kind!
The same was true for the ASMF 2018. The crowd was fully engaged and singing along with every song. Three nights of salsa, merengue, reggaeton, soca, and a little bit of rain. Thankfully, here in Aruba, it doesn’t rain for very long and the festivities did not have to be halted. One of the best parts of the ASMF is the exchange of cultures. Not only does the event bring Latin American visitors together to enjoy music by up and coming and seasoned Latin artists, but it also exposes the Latin American community to Aruban tunes and customs. As an Aruban, it’s great to see people from all over jam to our music and have a great time.
While the ASMF is very popular with our friends in South America, North American music lovers are more than welcome! What does ASMF 2019 have in store? I guess we will have to wait and see. Keep an eye on Aruba.com and the official ASMF website for updates!
We’re just getting started with the amazing effects Aruba has to offer. Dig into your trip details below to unlock a Caribbean experience that will fill you with sunshine and send you home with a happy afterglow that never fades.
