A fun evening was orchestrated by the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino in conjunction with the Aruba Tourism Authority.
The evening was designed to delight and entertain the delegates of the Annual Tourism Conference Aruba 2018.
The gathering brought key marketing players of the North American market to Aruba for four days of intense business sessions, and nights of tropical enchantment.
Twenty-eight tour operators and sales representatives of Aruba in major cities in North America & Canada, enjoyed a two-step extravagant production at the resort sipping Aruba Ariba cocktails, originally invented at the resort, at Mira Solo Bar overlooking the Palm Beach tree tops, and sampling excellent cuisine in the Grand Caribbean ballroom.
The evening was also attended by a number of Aruba’s parliament members and on island industry partners and hosted by General Manager Hans-Georg Roehrbein.
The focal point of the evening the Grand Caribbean Ballroom transformed into a 1959 drive in movie theater, with vintage cars, and retro personalities recreating the time the hotel first opened as the Aruba Caribbean.
Considered the “Year Everything Changed,” 1959 was certainly very important for Aruba with the launch of its tourism industry, and the décor by ECO DMS, ELITE Productions & Entertainment, the resort ‘s Catering & Convention team and the Aruba Muscle Classic Car Club brought that idea to life.
Dinner featured interesting fusion dishes prepared by Executive Chef Matt Boland, served on small plates mixing local ingredients with favorite recipes, chased by the pastry chef’s delectable desserts.
On the menu for the evening innovative seafood and fresh fish tastings, including Blackened Grouper, Ahi Tuna, Tiger Shrimp, pan-seared Sea Bass and Lobster Medallions in addition to St. Louis Ribs, and USDA Beef Tenderloin, with Pastry Chef Caesar's creations as a sweet ending.
Pictured here unforgettable 1959 moments!
